The 3rd XI season got underway under the leadership of new captain Simon Arscott with an emphatic win against a weak Chiswick & Latimer 3rd XI.

On the hottest April day for over 60 years Simon proved he's a lousy tosser by losing his first one and condemning us to fielding in the heat of the day. As it transpired we were not fielding for too long as all our bowlers found wickets at regular intervals as the home batsman gifted some cheap wickets and within 26 overs the job was done with C&L dismissed for 88. Matt Loveridge (4-23) & Wayne Morgan (3-12) were the main beneficiaries, well supported by some good catching.

On an excellent wicket this total proved totally inadequate as Luca Seneviratne (55) and Pally Palekar (27) showed how it should be done with an unbroken and generally untroubled stand to see us home in 17 overs without loss.
